What else should you budget for?

Could a scissor lift do it cheaper?

If the ground directly under the work is clear, level and drivable, usually yes — scissors start at $80/day with $165 transport each way. Booms earn their money when you’re reaching up and over something. Compare the machines in the boom hire page or size by target height on hire by height.

Common questions

Why is there no weekly rate listed?

Because we quote weekly hires against whatever you’re currently paying — call 1300 806 577 with your rate and we’ll beat it. Publishing one flat number would just make some jobs dearer than they need to be.

Do I really need a licence for a boom lift?

In Victoria, yes — a WP high-risk work licence for any boom-type EWP with 11m or more reach. That’s every machine in our boom fleet except the smallest. Scissor lifts don’t need one.

What’s the cheapest way to get over-reach?

The 35ft trailer cherry picker at $250/day. Tow it behind your own vehicle and you skip transport entirely — full detail in the cherry picker cost guide.

How fast can you deliver?
