Once equipment has been delivered to site, hire charges for the booked hire period — including any agreed minimum hire — are non-refundable, except where Be Up Hire considers a refund reasonable in the circumstances or where a refund is required by law. Hire charges are payable whether or not the equipment is used, as is standard for dry hire.
Delivery and return transport charges are non-refundable once incurred. This includes where a hire is cut short, where equipment is off-hired early, or where a booking is cancelled after the equipment has been dispatched from our depot.
You can end a hire at any time by notifying us on 1300 806 577 or sales@beuphire.com.au with the machine and collection location — we will give you an off-hire reference. Notice before 12:00 pm on a business day stops ordinary daily charges at the end of that business day; after 12:00 pm, at the end of the following business day. Charges already incurred, any agreed minimum hire and transport charges are not refunded. Until collection, the equipment remains at your risk and must be kept safe, lowered, switched off, reasonably clean and accessible for our truck.
Every machine is function-checked before it leaves our depot. If a machine breaks down due to an inherent fault (not caused by the hirer), hire charges on that machine are suspended from when you report the fault until it is repaired or replaced — we swap the machine out within 24 hours — and any hire charges billed for that period are credited or refunded. This does not apply to breakdowns caused by misuse, impact, flat batteries from failure to charge, incorrect fuel or unauthorised modification.
If you believe an invoice is wrong, tell us in writing within 7 days of receiving it, identifying the amount and reason. Undisputed amounts remain payable when due. Where a refund is agreed, we pay it to your original payment method within a reasonable time.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits any right, guarantee or remedy you have under that law.
